Always have a contingency in place.

When ever you travel you are leaving your best laid plans in the hands of others so always have a contingency. I am writing this from the Airport in Sydney. We have been advised that the baggage handlers and cleaners have walked off the job for a stop work meeting.
This has cause an unknown delay to my home flight. I am due to collect my boys from school. Am I stressing. No!!!!!!
I have a contingency in place, it takes just one quick call to arrange alternatives if thiCheck Spellingngs are taken out of your control. So before I board, when ever that is I will be calling my back up school collector Bridget and letting her know if she will need to get the boys.
This simple plan has saved me a great deal of potential stress and anxiety, and was easy to arrange from a completely difference country.
Always have a contingency in place, you never know when you may need it.

Hello from Ireland

Just a quick note from "rainy" Dublin.
We have had a great 5 days in Ireland and loads of interesting journeys and dinners. I am currently sitting in "the Clarence Hotel" in Temple Bar Dublin. Pete and I are about to go and visit the Guinness Beer factory. I will stick to my cider, and we are heading back to NZ tomorrow.
I will do a much fuller report on my return, but just wanted to say hi.
Cheers
Wendy

"Is the future Organised?"

I am safely home in NZ from Reno. One of the amazing people I met was Julie Bestry, she has posted me a comment asking "Is the future Organized?".
This is no doubt referring to the fact that NZ is one day ahead of the USA on the calender, I laughed when I read this. It inspired this very quick post.
In a word "NO", I arrived home at 9am this morning, Tuesday 15th April, after losing Monday the 14th into the ether of the International dateline, to find the clutter fairies had been visiting and collecting in my home during the week away.
But that is OK, the best thing was seeing my kids, even through the mounds of mess saved up for me during my 7 days of travelling to the conference.
So rest assured everyone, right now the future is not organised, however in a day or two everything should be back to its chaotic normality in my home.

Tomorrows Travels

Tomorrow I am flying to Auckland with a great friend and colleague, Jennifer Manson of Home Style.
We are going to spend some time listening to "Mike Dooley" Some of you may have seen him on "The Secret" DVD, or know of his website www.tut.com I am not really sure what to expect, but go with an open mind and an open heart.
I promise to share with you any great information I gather and find that will help you in your pursuit to be more organised.
Cheerio, Wendy
